A New Year! What fun things shall we do?

It's officially started; Cocktail Week prep time.

But that's OK because the best bit about Cocktail Week is coming up with new and awesome events! Basically we ask ourselves 'What would I like to do this year!?' and then we go off and try and make it happen.

I'm pleased to be able to announce our industry professional coming down for Cayman Cocktail Week this year; Enrique De Colsa, Master Distiller at Don Julio tequila. You know what that means? Tacos and tequila!

Enrique De Colsa, Master Distiller at Don Julio Tequila

Enrique has been working in the industry for 25 years and is not only a real tequila expert but is also a bit of a party animal too so you know whatever we organize this year is going to be fun, fun, fun! Maybe this is the year we bring back the Don Julio boat cruise :) (see below!)

One of the things I'd quite like to work on is a Tequila Masters workshop. Who wouldn't want to be a tequila professional anyway? You'd pretty much be the coolest person at any party. 'Excuse me while I whip up the best margarita you've ever tasted.' There's something quite satisfying about being able to explain what a Tahona wheel is or how long Blue Weber Agave has to be grown for. Geeky perhaps but satisfying.

Anyway, that's all in the pipeline and we're excited to start piecing together the other events. I'd love to hear from anyone that has ideas. Last year we did a POP-UP bar with Appleton Rum at Books & Books - shall we do another this year and where?
